Definition : A lexical field consists of all the words associated with a specific topic.
Example : Some of the words in the lexical field Gardening would be : sow, prune, dig, plant, seedling, shears, trowel, compost, fertiliser, weedkiller etc etc
A lexical field is thus a broader type of lexical set than others such as hyponomy, meronymy etc.
